"Hit the Air"- September 14, 1996
WRITTEN BY: Earl Kress and Tom Ruegger
HERO OF THE DAY: Muzzle, Hunter, Shag
WEAPON OF CHOICE: Storm uses a satelitte, the Rovers "muzzle 'em!"
BASIC PLOTLINE (From Kids' WB at AOL):

The Road Rovers are off to the South Pacific in this episode.  Those super canines must retrieve a top secret decoder before a satellite is reprogrammed to destroy the USA.

Still new to the world of superheroes, this pack work out their personalities and work  together to accomplish their goals.  Each of them has his or her own super talents which are needed to save the day!

MORE PLOTLINE: The man who has kidnapped the decoder is Captain Zachary Storm, probably the smartest and most prepared villain the Rovers face....Muzzle and Blitz first object to Muzzle going on the mission but in the end it is he who saves the Rovers tails...Hunter goes back to retrieve Muzzle once Storm causes a volcano to erupt and almost loses his life, but is saved by Shag...

WHAT WE LEARNED FROM THIS EPISODE:
-That Hunter's got a buttload of superpowers, but the best of all is that he's        super, super lucky
-That "the Muzzle dog" is very helpful when the Rovers go on missions, and will be a staple on these missions from now on
-That Shag and Exile need a hobby (Forest Tree Illustrated, Redwood Edition.  Enough said?)
-That Colleen is going to pick on Blitz for eternity.

FUNNIEST LINE:
EXILE- Oh babushka, would you look at those two!  SHAG- Uh huh!  (sniffs) HUNTER- What are you two looking at?  EXILE- Forest Tree Illustrated, Redwood Edition.  SHAG & EXILE- Aaaaaah...  HUNTER- You two definetly need a hobby

KRANKOR'S FAN RATING: 7.9 out of 10 (8th out of 13)

MY TAKE: The animation was kinda poor in this episode, but it was good at introducing new jokes, characteristics of the Rovers, etc.  And of course it would lead to two of the better Road Rover episodes next.
