To The Power of the Pack...Part 1 of a 3 part series!

Royal Dog Island
As the big event begins, we see a large courtroom with many cano-sapiens inside. We then see the front of the courtroom, with an eldery cano-sapien judge. We then see the plantiffs, the Road Rovers and Junior Rovers (they hang out with the Road Rovers full time again), and the defendants, Glenn and a dog much like him, of great dane breed as well. Suddenly, Hunter stands up, and says, "I'd like to call my last witness. Spirit Pupperoni McMutts." Spirit then walks up to the witness stand, and sits down. Another cano-sapien then walks up to her, with a bible. The dog then asks, "Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help you God?" "I do," Spirit replies. "Now Spirit," Hunter says, "Do you remember what happened January 1, 1998?" Glenn smirks as he says this. "Yes I do," Spirit replies, "That dog *pointing to Glenn*, kidnapped our friends Star and Blitz, and then came back to take one our dearest Rover friends, Rango. Rango, Star, Blitz, as well as 3 other Rovers, Colleen, Jeff, and Mars, haven't been seen since." "You seem very convincing," the judge replies, "But, do you have any evidence that Glenn did this? Any voice samples? Fingerprints?" "Um, no," Spirit replies. "You may step down," the judge tells her, as Spirit leaves the bench. "Please stand," the judge tells them, as the plantiffs and defendents stand. "I find Glenn not guilty of the charges brought against him because of lack of evidence. Glenn will now officially become king on a royal ceremony July 1, 1998, and the day before, June 30, 1998, will be his wedding to the bride of his choice." The Rovers then shake their heads in disgust, hopeless, as something Glenn does not deserve has been given to him.

Far North

The time has come!!! You've waited, and waited, and waited to see what happened to the Rovers north, and here's your chance to find out!! SO PAY ATTENTION! J/K ;-)

We then see a igloo like structure, with a door made of ice and everything. The door then opens for us, and as we go inside, we see a beautiful structure, though cold. As we look down, instead of wood or metal, we see snow, the pathways of this house. We then head down the spiral stairs, and see polar bears sleeping in one room, but in the next, we see, yup, you guessed it, Rango, Colleen, Jeff, Star, Blitz, and Mars. We then listen closely, and we pick up the words, sung by all the Rovers but Star:
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday, dear Star,
Happy birthday to you!

The Rovers then clap, as one of the polar bears brings over a bowl full of ice with 6 fish in it. "Thank goodness you had that bowl on the plane," Colleen tells Jeff, "If it weren't for that, we'd have to eat food with polar bear drool on it." The polar bear then friendly growls at Colleen, and Colleen replies, "No offense intended chap." We then see Star sinking her teeth in the biggest fish, and says, "I don't need any presents this year. We're all together still, we all have our health, we're all very lucky." "Why don't you check on Garrett?" Colleen suggests to Jeff. "Allright," Jeff replies, "Excuse me guys. I'll be right back." We then follow Jeff through the house, until he approaches a little room. We then look in the room, and see a very young puppy (around 2 in dog years), but already transdogmafied, sleeping right near a hot puddle of water. The dog, male, is a young collie, but has some markings of Jeff, including a build that suggests he'll be very strong some day, and significant spots on his face, as Jeff does. So this was the big secret you remember from story #8? Yes. "Good morning Garrett," Jeff tells him. "Hello daddy," Garrett replies, in a delicate, young voice. Jeff then picks up Garrett, and carries him in with the others. As the two enter, Mars stands up and walks over to him. "How's my little nephew?" Mars asks, giving him a high-five. Jeff then drops him off with Colleen, as he sits down next to her, and the family of three looks very happy. "He's a smart one, that mate," Rango replies, "Especially when he drove Blitz crazy that one day sleeping." "It's not my fault," Blitz replies, "That puppy cries all night. But that's usual. I'm just mad that I have to sleep next to him!" "Take it easy Blister," Colleen replies, "I sleep next to him as well." "Well, you sleep better," Blitz replies, "It usually takes me forever and a day to fall asleep. It's one big pain in the tuchuss." "Sorry Blitz," Mars says, "But there's not much we can do. I wish we could get out of here, even though these polar bears treat us great. I wish we could be back with our friends. Who knows what's going on with the reign?" "Bad things," Jeff replies, "Glenn has to be in control. Who else would be? I left a note with the Royal Council that if the entire royal family died off, I'd want Rango to take over the reign. But Glenn knew that, got jealous, and took care of the royal family, and Rango." "But he's part of the royal family too..." Star states, before Jeff interrupts. "True," Jeff replies, but as he looks at Rango, he says, "I trust him a lot more." "Thanks mate," Rango replies, "I do the best that I can." Suddenly, Garrett looks up at his father, and says, "Daddy, I'm hungry." "How hungry?" Jeff asks. Garrett then stretches out his arms as wide as he can, and says, "This hungry." "Guess we'll go get you a fish too," Jeff tells him. "I'll help," Garrett replies. "Sure," Jeff replies, "Our first father-son fishing trip," he jokes. The Rovers then chuckle, as Garrett and Jeff walk out of the icehouse. Suddenly, the conversation shifts to Garrett. "Garrett's such a cutie!" Star exclaims. "He sure is," Colleen replies, "He's my reason for getting up in the morning. In fact, he's usually the one who wakes me up in the morning." "Me too," Blitz adds, "But he's not my reason. Star's my reason." Star then smiles at him, and Blitz does the same to her. Then, Star turns to Colleen as she gets a question to ask. "Why was Garrett born a cano-sapien? You weren't..." "I was," Colleen replies, "And so was Jeff. However, what they called us was droks. Droks are a cano-sapiens that are already transdogmafied at birth. So, in effect, we are our own species, while you all are just dogs that were transdogmafied when you became Road Rovers." "Wow!" Star exclaims, "I never knew we were a completely different species!" "It's not really that different," Colleen replies, "We're basically the same creature, just...different!" "But when you became a Road Rover," Blitz replies, "You were a dog. Not a cano-sapien or a drok." "That's because of General Parvo," Colleen replies, "We learned that that blimey villain kidnapped us and seperated us, but not only that, detransdogmafied us." "How did he kidnapp you?" Blitz asks. "That remains a mystery," Colleen replies, "I wish I knew how." Jeff and Garrett then return to the room, and Garrett has a fish in hand. "Hello guys!" Star greets, "Who caught the fish, Garrett or Jeffy?" Jeff growls. "Me!" Garrett replies, "Daddy taught me everything about how to fish with my bare paws! He's a great teacher!" Jeff then blushes, and says, "Thanks son." As Garrett starts eating, we swing to...

Royal Dog Island
We then see Glenn, talking with his lawyer. "Thanks for defending me up there," Glenn replies. "What are brothers for?" the lawyer replies, "Just don't forget..." "I know, I know," Glenn replies, "You'll be very well rewarded when we take over the rule Zack." "We?" Zack asks. "Julia and myself," Glenn replies. "She hates your guts, you know," Zack tells his younger brother. "I don't care," Glenn replies, "All I need is a wife. Then I get the rule. And I have the power to decide whoever that is, since there are no royal parents to decide for me or anything. Besides, I'm not royal, though those fools at the Royal Council don't know that. I don't think anyone knows that. Or else they're dead." Zack then stares at Glenn for a minute, and then says, "Glenn, you know that little trip you told me to go on a month ago." "Yes," he says, realizing what he's about to say. "They're alive?" Glenn asks. Zack shakes his head "yes." "But why didn't you terminate them?" Glenn asks. "They had polar bears, working for them," Zack replies, "They built some kind of icehouse. I tried to sneak in there and get them, but they had these giant polar bears that ran me off. I never got in there." "Did they see you?" Glenn asks. "I doubt it," Zack replies, "It was late. I think those were guard polar bears or something. They were vicious." "But...why didn't you tell me," Glenn replies, "You know what I do to anyone who does stuff like this to me. But, since you're my brother..." "I tried to contact you," Zack says, "But you were always busy with this plan of yours. Sure, it's working, but what if the Rovers find a way to communicate with anyone? Then they get the reign right back, since they aren't dead. And if Jeff knows about your secret, he could tell the world that you are a fraud indeed." "So what are you saying?" Glenn asks. "Kill them, kill them all," Zack replies. "Yes, yes I should," Glenn agrees, as he laughs evily. We then go outside the building, where we see Muzzle, who has listened to the whole conversation. He then growls as Glenn laughs, and hops off. We then see the Rovers, all centered around Julia, staring at her with concern in their eyes, knowing what Glenn could do to her. Julia, as we see her, is definetly unhappy, with a frown the size of Alaska on her face. Xander then walks over to her, and gives here a hug. "Julia, you're like a sister to me," Xander replies, "And whatever you have to do, don't marry that dog. Please." "Like I want to anyway," Julia retorts, "He has the power to make me. There's no way out of it. It's like I'm his prisoner or something." "That must really stink," Hunter replies. "It's the worst I've ever felt in my life, every day when I wake up," Julia tells them, "It really does feel like I'm a prisoner. It just isn't fair." "It is 100timeski unfair!" Exile exclaims. "Very much so," Spirit adds, "But just trust in yourself and the good cause. We haven't lost yet. We still have 10 days to get you and all dogkind out of this trap. That's plenty of time." "We need a miracle," Julia replies, very sadly.

Far Up North

We then see Colleen and Jeff in Garrett's room, watching him sleep very peacefully. "He's so cute when he sleeps," Colleen says. Jeff then turns away from Colleen. "What is it?" Colleen asks. "I just can't let Garrett suffer like this forever," Jeff replies. "What do you mean?" Colleen asks. "Look at him," Jeff says, and as Colleen looks, she sees him shivering in his sleep. "If he stays here any longer, he could die of hunger and the extreme cold environment. I have to find a way to get us out of here, no matter the cost." "Jeffy, please don't get irrational," Colleen replies, "If you go out there searching for some way to get home, you'll surely die!" "I must," Jeff replies, "For my son's sake. And you could come too, but..." "What about Garrett?" Colleen finishes. "Exactly," Jeff replies. "I don't know Jeffy," Colleen says, "How can I know, for sure, that I will see you again?" Jeff then turns to her, and says, "Colleen, I've never lied to you. I promise, on my heart, that I will return to you." "If it's on your heart," Colleen replies, "It's a guarantee," Colleen says. Jeff then smiles, and walks quietly out of the building, on his way to find a way out of the cold, horrible north. Colleen then begins to cry, as she leaves the room, but before she leaves, she gives Garrett a kiss. "Your father loves you very much," she whispers to him, "And so do I." She then goes back in her room and brings in a blanket they found in the reckage of Jeff's plane, and puts it down on the sleeping body. She then goes back to her room and goes to sleep, still hoping that she will see her husband again.

Far North

As we zoom back in to the show, we see the slightest flicker of sunlight rizing over the horizon, and see maple trees and lots of snow on the ground, though no precipitation is currrently falling. We then see Jeff, layered with lots of clothes and off course, his "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog" cap. Tired and weary after going this far, we zoom in on Jeff. "Sunlight, finally," Jeff says, as he begins to climb up a tree. "Now it's safe to sleep," he says to himself, as he climbs to a sturdy limb and begins to sleep. Suddenly, we see a man driving by in a truck just as Jeff starts to rest. Seeing the truck, Jeff says, "No way." He then jumps off the limb and lands head first in the snow, unhurt, since snow doesn't injure (duh), and gets to his feet and starts chasing after the truck. We then go inside the truck, where we see a man with a beard and an old green cap driving the truck. He then sees Jeff chasing after him, and so he stops the truck. Jeff, relieved, goes to the front of the truck, and the man lowers his window. "Who, and what are you, stranger?" the man asks. "They call us Road Rovers," Jeff replies. "Us?" the man asks. "Yes," Jeff replies, "Myself, some friends, and some family that is about 30 miles the way you're going. We've been lost here for more than 5 months." "5 MONTHS!!!" the man exclaims, "How have you survived?!?!" "With some help from other friends," Jeff replies, "But still, my son is suffering. He can't stand these conditions very long. The rest of us can, but his body is much frailer from ours. Especially with the lack of food up here, he's had a hard few months of life. So, please, kind sir, help us, please." "I'm willing too," the man replies, "But I would like to be rewarded for my efforts." "Sure," Jeff replies, "What's your name anyway?" "Han Soloman," the man replies, "I live far south of here, near the US-Canada border...." "So we're in Canada?" Jeff asks. "Yeah," Han replies, "Couldn't you tell?" he asks, pointing to the maple trees, "And that also has something to do with what I do. I work for Aunt Jemima in a factory in Vancouver. We have a small outpost near here that I was headed to when I ran into you. That's where they get maple syrup from." "Mmmm," Jeff replies, picturing pancakes with maple syrup on them like he used to have at Road Rover Headquarters, "Sounds like an awesome job." "Yeah," the man replies, "A job's great when food is involved. It must not be far from where your friends are, only about 20 miles from it." "We've never ventured that far away from home," Jeff replies, "Now that the weather's not so bad we could probally make it there, but we never tried to find a way out, until now of course." "Eh heh," the man replies, "Why don't you hop in? We better get going! I have to be at the factory in 2 hours." "Cool name," Jeff says to himself, as he goes around the truck and hops in the passenger's seat. "Let's roll!" Han says, as the two head back to the icehouse. We then see a plane flying over familar country, green and black, and with the Road Rover logo, except the dog has a royal turbon on. Then, inside, we see Glenn and Zack, with Zack at the controls. "How far are we again?" Glenn asks, less familiar with the territory. "30 miles bro," Zack replies, "We'll be there in minutes." "Good," Glenn says happily, "I can't wait." Then, looking out at the ground below, Glenn notices something. No, not snow or maple trees, that's the definiton of Canada!! That's not something you realize! "Look," Glenn says to his bro. "What?" Zack asks. We then see the truck that Jeff and Han are in, to the right of the plane. "Fly a little lower," Glenn says. Zack does so, getting so close that the two can see who is inside the truck. "Jeff's in there!" Zack exclaims. "So much for 30 more miles," Glenn says, "I'll take control from here." Zack and Glenn then switch seats. Now in control, Glenn flies to the right so he is behind the truck. He then lowers the plane, until it is only feet above the truck and the ground. Meanwhile, back inside the truck, Han and Jeff are very curious about the plane that is obviously following them. "Darn Iranians!" Han exclaims, kidding of course. Meanwhile, Jeff is much more worried. "Drive fast, as fast you can," Jeff warns him. "Don't worry Jeff," Han replies, "Besides, this thing can barely break 50! It couldn't out run a plane! Actually, no car could do that. Besides, it's not like they're going to kill us or anything." Jeff, still worried, despite Han's hakuna matata feelings about it, unbuckles his seat belt (don't try this in your car though). "I'll be right back," he says, getting out of his chair. "Where you going?" Han asks. "Don't worry about it," Jeff says, imitating Han. Suddenly, Jeff unlocks and opens his door, and scrambles on top of the roof. "Drive faster!" he shouts to Han, frustrated, "I want to see who's in this!" "Why?" Han asks. "I think the guy who sent us up here, purposely, is back," Jeff replies, "And he's in that plane." "Paranoia?" Han suggests. "Just drive!" Jeff exclaims. "Fine, fine!" Han replies, as he hits the gas. Suddenly, the truck speeds away from the plane, that is moving at their previous speed, very, very slow for a plane. Suddenly, Jeff looks up, and, blocking the sunlight with his cap, sees the distinctive face of Glenn and a dog that looks like him. "It's him!" Jeff exclaims. Suddenly, Jeff notices something opening in the bottom of the plane. "Abandon ship!" Jeff shouts to Han, as he jumps off the truck. Han, suprised, looks out his open window at the plane, and sees the opening. "No way..." he says, jumping out of the truck in an opposite direction. Just as he does, a large missle hits the truck, avoiding Han, but leaving his truck in ruins. Han, dazed from the experience, opens his eyes to see Jeff in front of him. "You okay Han?" Jeff asks. "A few bruises, but I'm allright," Han replies, "Where'd he go?" "I don't know," Jeff replies, "I think he's headed for where my friends are. I think he wants to dispose of them, and then come back for me." "Who is this guy?" Han asks, "Doesn't seem normal to me." "He's not," Jeff replies, "He's my cousin." "Your cousin?" Han asks. "Yes," Jeff replies, "He feels he deserves something that I have. I would tell you, but I don't really want to. It's better this way." "Is it something good, or bad?" Han asks. "Something good," Jeff replies, "It's just too confusing." "Allright," Han replies, "But what should we do now? We don't have a way of getting to your friends, but we just can't sit here and wait for your cousin to come here and kill us, can we?" "Of course not," Jeff replies, "We have to think of something."

Less Than 1 Mile Away
We then see Glenn and Zack, beside their plane, discussing. "I still don't see why you don't go for the others," Zack replies. "We'll take care of them soon enough," Glenn replies, "But we're close to Jeff. We need to take him down first." "And how will we?" Zack asks, "Finding someone out here is like finding a needle in a haystack. Besides, he could be anywhere by now."
