More Of Story #18-The Computer Strikes Back!

Then, a large doberman forms, and barks, "You have gone the wrong way! Now I will bite your tussies!!" "Wonder where Quang got that from," Jeff says. "One guess," Spirit says, "Blitz." "Bingo!!" Jeff says. Meanwhile, the dog begins to chase after them. "Run!" Jeff shouts. The three then run as fast as they can, which for Spirit and Jeff isn't that fast, but for Buddy is super fast (but not as fast is Hunter). Buddy then gets to the place where they decided to go left, and waits for the two to arrive. "Hurry guys!" he shouts. "We're going as fast as we can!" Spirit pants. Soon after she says this, the two are within Buddy's view. Jeff then looks back, and sees the doberman inches from him, so he makes a move. He begins to run back and forth, keeping the dog away from Spirit, who rushes to Buddy. Jeff then keeps running back and forth across the path from the doberman, who finally stops from boredom. When he stops, Jeff runs off quickly, and gets to Spirit and Buddy. Once he is there, the doberman stops suddenly, and runs back. "Now, do we kow which way to go," Star says, frowning at Rango. "It was just an idea," Rango says, "Americans....so picky!" The three Rovers then head right. "Your paw okay?" Jeff (still panting) asks Buddy. "Feels fine and dandy, thank you," Buddy says, "Looks like they weren't poisonous at all." "That's super news!" Jeff says, "Happy to hear that you're okay." "Yeah, me too," Spirit says. The three then follow the path to a big body of water, seperating them from yet another crystal. "Don't dive, it's not deep!" Jeff warns. "Well, what are we looking for?" Spirit asks. "Don't know," Buddy says, "I'll check. As he swims, he suddenly gets stuck in the middle. "There's some sort of platform here," he explains. Then, the spooky voice says, "There are 3 platforms in the lake. Match yourselves to the platforms perfectly, and you survive. You have 2 chances." "This is interesting," Exile says. "And hard," Colleen adds. "You said it, mate," Rango says. "Well, let's try this," Star this. "I think I'll try the 2nd platform," Jeff says. "And I'll try the 3rd!" says Spirit. "Okay," Buddy says. Then, as the three simulataneously stand on the platforms, they hear the spooky voice says, "One platform is correct. The shark is ready to eat the ones that fail." Then, suddenly, a shark fin appears near Spirit, and then near Buddy. "This is not good," Spirit says. Jeff then waits for the fin to appear by him, but it doesn't. "That's weird," Jeff says, "He didn't come near me!" "Then you must be right!" Spirit says, "And all Buddy and myself need to do is switch!" "Let's go for it!" Buddy says, "Sound good guys?" "Plano perfecto," Star says, as she moves Spirit left and Buddy right. When they all are on the platforms, the voice says, "You have suceeded! You survive!" Jeff then reaches over and high-fives Spirit, and the three then watch as the shark fin disappears. "No dog soup for you!" Buddy says as the shark returns to wait for the game's next contestants. Spirit, Jeff, and Buddy then approach the crystal, where Jeff places his paw on it. Then, a new message pops up, "You've done well to get this far. But next up is the toughest part. The way to the end is paved through here. Once your done your getting near. Take a left, then take a right, and you will find this place in sight." "What place?" Buddy asks. "Guess we'll find out," Jeff replies. "I'm scared," Spirit says. "Don't be," Jeff says, "You heard what the crystal said." "That's true," Spirit replies, "So let's go." "All right," Buddy says, as the dogs turn left, with the controller's help. As they follow the directions, they approach a larger shelter, wooden, with snow on the roof. "Has it been snowing in this game?" Spirit asks. "No," Jeff replies, "That's odd. Let's investigate." He then turns to Star, and she follows his request, leading him forward. Jeff then turns open the door, and the two others enter behind him. Inside, they find snow all over the place, and notice that it is freezing cold. As Spirit tries to exit, the door slams shut right in her face, making them stay in the room. "There's no exit," she says. "I've realized that," Jeff says, "Now let's move forward." As they walk forward, they do indeed notice that the room is covered by snow and ice, and there are no igloos or anything, just caves. Then, suddenly, Spirit spots a polar bear walking around, not noticing them. "How cute!!" she says. "Sure, they're cute," Jeff says, "Until they destroy you. Most vicious hunters of the artic, the polar bear!" "Yipes!!!" she shouts as she tries to run to the other side of the room, that would be the exit. But there is no door, not even a path to a way out. And, even worse, her startled shout a minute ago had brought upon the polar bear's attention. With herself out of sight, Spirit did not recognize the bear, until she heard a huge growl from it, right behind her. "Aaaaahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she shouts. The polar bear then throws a big paw in her direction, but the bear misses, and Spirit bites his paw. The bear then lets out a groan of disgust as Spirit bites deeper. But, once the polar bear regains control of his pain, he knocks Spirit off him with her other paw, and she lands face down in a clump of snow, a little dreary and unconscious. The bear then picks the hurt dog up with his paws, and sets her on his back, where he carries her away to a dark and distant cave. Then, the show has a sight of Jeff and Buddy, who are following Spirit's footsteps to where she ran. Suddenly, they see the footprints stop at a wall. "Where did she go from here?" Buddy asks, puzzled. Jeff then notices some other footprints, smaller ones (what are the Rovers wearing? That's a good question. At the time, Spirit is wearing Star's jacket, her Spirit t-shirt and some jeans, Jeff is wearing a Carolina Panthers sweatshirt and some jeans, and Buddy a Nike turtleneck and also a pair of jeans. Uniforms are worn only during missions, which is what you always see on the TV. They also are all in bare feet. Back to the show.), headed towards what seems to be an even colder part of the mysterious room. "Let's follow these," Jeff says as the two head after the tracks. Then, the show jumps to a cave, where Spirit is standing unconscious up against an edge of the cave, tied up with seaweed. However, instead of the one polar bear, there are five, with the polar bear that Spirit fought with the fourth tallest of the bears, meaning that she fought only a small bear. Suddenly, she awakes, and screams when she sees the five bears, like this, "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!" This extremely loud scream is enough to draw the attention of Jeff and Buddy. "Follow that voice!" Jeff says. "Yeah, I wish we had Rango though!" Buddy says. "Ah ha!" Star and Jeff say, both sharing the same idea. Instantly, Star shuts off the computer, and then turns it back on. As she does, the light does indeed come out of the computer. Star and Colleen then duck, and the light hits Rango. Suddenly, the super eared dog is in the computer with thre other 3. "G'day again, mate!" Rango says to Jeff and Buddy. "Good to see ya, pal!" Jeff says, "Now, can you locate Spirit?" "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!!!" Spirit screams again. "For the life of me, can't she yelp a bit quieter?" Rango asks. "She gets scared easily," Buddy replies. "Well, anyway," Rango says, "She's in this cave, not too far away. I can tell by the echos from the cave, and there are also some growling hungry polar bears there, as well." "That's not good news!" Jeff says, "But, we have to brave up, and go save our Rover pal!" "You got that right!" Jeff and Buddy say, with Rango adding on "mate." The three, with Buddy in front, then run off to the cave, following Rango's directions. Meanwhile, in the cave, Spirit is still screaming, as the polar bears come near her. Suddenly, the youngest, and smallest, one, licks her paw. "He he he, that tickles!" Spirit says, giggling. "We're almost there!" Rango says, and yes, seconds later, they see the cave. "Stop!" Jeff says, as the two do so. "I see 5, count 'em, 5, polar bears in there!!!" Jeff exclaims. "Yeah, so?" Buddy asks. "I'm not taking on 5 polar bears!!" Jeff says, "Or at least, not without a plan." Buddy then thinks, and comes up with a plan. "Come here," he says. The show then does that groovy "ROAD ROVERS" cross screen thingamagigger, and the show returns, with Rango wearing a moustache, glasses, and a brown worker's jacket, peeking inside the cave. "Ladies, gent's, do I have a deal for you!" he says as he walks over to Spirit. "Rango?" she whispers. "Yeah, but keep quiet," he replies, whispering, as he turns back to the polar bears. "Spare my little friend here, and you can have what is behind door #3!" The polar bears then gather up, and whisper, and then one of them, the biggest, and oldest, though still pretty young, stands up and points to the door, that is really just a Rover flag with the number 3 on it (Jeff carries those around, since he's the flag guy, who puts the flag up in the morning and flag down in the afternoon. He just got done pulling it down when he came to Star's room). Suddenly, he lifts the flag, and Rango exclaims, "It's 1000 fish!" The polar bears eyes then brighten up with excitement, as they run to the fishes. But, as they eat them, they suddenly, get lazier and lazier until they all fall asleep, right on the fish! "Why'd they do that?" Spirit asks as Jeff, Rango, and Buddy walk silently over to her. Buddy then pulls out a bottle reading, "When You Really Need Sleep, Take This!!!" "Just some pills, that we put in the fish," Buddy says. "Sleeping pills?" Spirit asks. "Oh yeah," Buddy replies. As the "Oh Yeah," song from Ferris Bueller's Day Off (I love that movie! I guess that I'm hooked) plays, Jeff pulls out a metal claw, and says, "Jeff's extra claw, to be used only in emergencies." He then uses the claw to rip off the seaweed, and free Spirit. "Thanks!" she says. "No prob," Jeff replies, as they high five, and Buddy says, "Oh yeah, we're all free!" as the song comes to an end. "Let's get out of here," Spirit says. "That's a very good idea, mate!" Rango says. As the two spot the door out, they see a frozen pond in their way. "Steer clear of taht little obstacle," Jeff says. And then, from nowhere, up pops a gigantic walrus with a karate belt on his head, and his waist. "Invaders! You dare come through here!" he says, while his mouth dosen't move to the words, like in a Chinese action movie. Then, as he shows some karate moves in the snow, Jeff finally just grows sick of it all, and lunges at the walrus. He then grabs it and pulls it down, and begins pulling on its whiskers. "Take that!" Jeff says. "Ow, too much pain," the walrus says, the same way as before. Jeff then picks it up by its two tusks, and swings it away. "Aaaaahhh!" it screams. It then hits one of the polar bears in the head, and they all awake. "Grrrrrrr, food!" the biggest one says. "Yipez!" the walrus says. Then, the show jumps back to Jeff, Spirit, Buddy, and Rango, while you can hear the hungry polar bears tearing into the body of the helpless walrus. "Poor guy!" Spirit says. "Oh well, he was just annoying me," Jeff says, "Maybe I shouldn't have been so mean. But I semm to get angry easily lately!" "We learned that at Disney," Rango says. "Thank you for the compliments, everyone!" Jeff says, "Let's go!" "But where?" Spirit says. Jeff then points down into the water. "See that orange sign right there?" he asks. "Yes, I sure do," Spirit replies. "It reads, 'EXIT,'" Jeff says. "Oh yeah, I see it now!" Spirit says. "I'll test the water, being an expert swimmer!" Buddy says, as he dives in. The Rovers (inside the computer and out) then wait for Buddy to reappear. But, they find themselves waiting 5, 10, 15, and even 20 seconds for him to reappear, and he doesn't. Then, after exactly 24 seconds, Buddy's face pops out. He is definetly short for breath, as he quickly gets back on the snowy ground. "Cold?" Rango asks. "No," Buddy replies, "It's just the opposite. It's burning hot!" "Is that what held you under?" Spirit asks, confused. "No, that wasn't anywhere near the least of it," Buddy replies, "I saw sharks. And stingrays. And electric eels. Every single deadly fish is in there, and they looked pretty hungry." "Did they see you?" Spirit asks. But, right as Buddy is about to answer, a huge shark pops his head out from water, and takes a snatch at Spirit.

--------------------------------Third Commercial Break----------------------------

"Spirit, no!" Buddy shouts, as he grabs her away from the shark. The shark instead bites off some of the icy, snow ground they are standing on, and tries again. But then, the movement subsides for seconds, and then returns, worse than ever. As the shark continues to munch away at the icy land, Jeff and Rango are being chased by crabs. But not just any crabs, crabs with pointers filled with poison. But then, suddenly, a very angry voice cries out from behind the Rovers and sea creatures. "Shark! Crabs! You have met your match!" the voice beckons, a voice familar to the Rovers, and one Jeff can easily recognize, "Colleen, thank god!" he says. Meanwhile, Colleen does a cartweel and karate kicks the air as she moves near the shark. Seeing this new treat, the shark forgets Spirit and Buddy, and heads straight for Colleen. As he shark dives across the land for Colleen, it misses, and Colleen jumps on top of the shark and with all her strength, tries to keep it from going back into the water. But, suddenly, Colleen runs out of strength, and falls to the ground. But, as the shark heads towards the helpless body, yet another cease of movement occurs, for just a few seconds, and then the movement returns. As the shark ponders this strange happening, in comes Exile, brave and strong. "You will have no English soufleut for lunch today," Exile says, "Now I will give you Siberian chill!" He then uses his freezing powers to freeze the shark, and it stays still. "Thanks Exile!" Colleen says, as she gets up, "You saved me life." "Oh, it was nothing," Exile blushes. Colleen then gives Exile a little hug, and walks off. "Oh, Jeff is lucky," Exile says, as Colleen leaves. Then, Colleen sees Rango and Jeff, still being chased back and forth by those pesky crabs. "Need some help there, Jeffy?" Colleen asks. "That would be nice," Jeff replies. "Sure would, mate," Rango says, as the two chase the crabs behind a rock. And then, once again, there comes a ceaseof movement, thisone much longer than before. When the movement begins again, Jeff and Rango find themselves trapped by the 3 to 4 feet tall mutant crabs. "This, is officially bad," Jeff says. But then, suddenly, a voice is heard over the distance, "Yah, you manjy girly crabs, it's me, coming to bite your little crabby toushies." "That's Blitz all right!" Rango says. Then, right as the crabs come within striking distance of Jeff and Rango, Blitz surges in, and "commenses wth the biting." The crabs then try and get away from this "tooshie killer," but are unable to, and finally, run off. But then, right before Blitz stands up and "comenses with the after tooshie-biting taunting," one crab come back, and pinches Blitz in the jaw. "Owwwww!" he screams out in pain. "Blitz, you okay?" Rango asks, peaking his head out from behind the rock. "One of those crabs pinched me," he says, holding his jaw. "Oh, don't worry fella, it will pass," Buddy says, "Hurts like getting your foot squashed in a car door at first, but then it gets better." "Did you see those crabs?" Jeff asks, "There legs didn't look too great. They had these little bumps on them. Maybe they held poison!" "Poison? Oh no! I'm going to die! But Im too young to die, and far to pretty!" Blitz whines. "No, don't worry, you won't DIE," Spirit says, emphasising the word die (that's why it's capatilized), "You just may not be able to talk for awhile, due to numbing of the face." "Not being able to talk for awhile has its advantages!" Exile says. "Sure does!" Jeff says. "See, this is what happens. I get really badly hurt and everyone feels good about it!" Blitz complains, but yes, he's got a point. "I'm sorry pal," Jeff replies, "I guess I shouldn't tease you as much, if it hurts you this bad." "Do you really mean that?" Blitz asks. "If you really meant that," Jeff replies. "Well, it does hurt me," Blitz says. "Friends?" Jeff asks. "Friends!" Blitz agrees, as the two shake paws. "Now, Exile?" Blitz asks. "Forget it weird boy!" Exile says. "He's impossible," Blitz whispers to Jeff. "So, looks like we have the situation handled with the fish," Buddy says. "That's definetly good news!" Spirit says. "I'll go in once more to check," Buddy says, as he dives in. This time, it only takes him 10 seconds to reappear at the surface. "Well, there are some stingrays and electric eels still," he says, "But, if you watch your step, and swim quickly, due to the heat, you'll be just fine!" "That's cool!" Jeff says. "Sounds good," Exile agrees. "Allright. Jeff, why don't you go first. See where that exit door leads, and then relay it to Exile." "Will do," Jeff says, as he dives in, and begins doggy paddling. On his way, he even comes eye to eye with a stingray, but the fish seem to not mind as he swims along. Soon, he reaches the door and pushes it open. What he sees isn't much better. Down a faded blue path, there is a huge dark castle, and by it, a sign painted in neon green paint that reads, "The Final Battle. Win, Or Lose." He then relays this infor to super-eared Rango. "Sounds kinda risky," Colleen says, as she messes with her hair. "And scary!" Blitz says. "Oh, calm down weird boy, you'll survive!" Exile replies. "Ok, this is what we have to do," Buddy says to Rango, Blitz (who Star called in to her room), Spirit, Colleen, and Exile. Star is still sitting outside the computer, directing what happens, while Shag and Muzzle are pursuing other interests, as well as the Master. "I will go next," Buddy says, "And then Blitz, Spirit, Colleen, and Exile, you guys go, and space yourselves out. I'll direct you along. Then, Rango, you go last, since we need you ashore to hear of any difficulties we are having, and to alert the other Rovers." "Works for me!" Rango says. "Allright, in I go," Buddy says. He then swims part way, and calls for Colleen. "Colleen, your turn," Rango says, as Colleen dives in, and swims on. Then, Spirit and Exile make it in safely, and arrive at the exit door, with the other 2. "Allright Blitz," Buddy says, "Your turn." "In you go, Blitz," Rango says, who is relaying everything Buddy says. "I'm not so sure," Blitz says. "Don't worry mate, everyone else made it fine. You'll be okay," Rango says. "Allright, I'll go," Blitz says, as he jumps in. He then swims down, to where he sees the fish, all asleep. But something he noticed that the others had not noticed was a shark's head hanging out of a huge log. "Oh no, a shark!" Blitz screams, and then, he flaps his hands back and forth, and says, "And I can't even swim!" "But Blitz, you were screaming just a second ago," Buddy replies. "No, I can't. I can't swim!!!" he panics. And, of course, all this comotion wakes up the shark , and the first thing he sees is Blitz's body. Unaware of what is happening, Blitz continues to try to swim, until he sees the enclosing shark, and he just freezes in the water, too scared to move. Another cease of movement. Once again, nothing happens for quite some time, and then the few seconds back in movement, all the creatures ponder what's been happening, giving the Rovers some leeway time. In this case, Blitz has time to swim, as the shark ponders what's been going on. "Swim Blitz, swim!" Buddy shouts. "I can't, I just can't," Blitz says, defeated. Then shark then heads right at the frozen Blitz, but right as he bites down on it, the body disappears. Then the show shows not one but two heads coming from out of the water, Star and Blitz! "Thank you, thank you Star!" Blitz says. "Anytime, but it isn't iver yet," Star replies, "Just hold on to me, I'll take you out of here." Blitz then puts his paw on Star's, as Star tries to out speed the shark. But soon, the shark has closed the distance, very close to the Exit sign. But, right before they are there, the shark has them in biting distance. But, right as it is about to bite down on the two dogs, it stops, and falls backwards. Then, the show show 12-foot Jeff, wrestling the very strong shark. But, easily, Jeff defeats the outmatched shark, who finally just gives up and swims off. As Jeff reapproches the sign, Rango and Buddy come with him. "Thanks Jeff and Star!!" Blitz says, "You saved my life!!" "Anytime, for a friend," Jeff says. "Same deal," Star says.
