"Hit The Airs"- February 15, 1997
WRITTEN BY: Mark Seidenberg and Nick DuBois HERO OF THE DAY: 5 of 'em! Hunter, Colleen, Exile, Blitz, and Shag, all as dogs.
WEAPON OF CHOICE: Post-hypnotic suggestions and brain warps
PLOT SYNOPSIS: (From Kids WB on AOL)
The Rovers are called into action when an alien spaceship uses its mind controlling technology to force the leaders of the world to declare war on each other. Hunter discovers that the 'alien commander' responsible for the crisis is actually the crazed, vengeful Captain Storm. When the world is on the brink of all-out war, the Rovers don't have time to "Transdogmafy." Instead, they have their normal dog forms. Using their special individual skills, the Rovers (as dogs) stop the world leaders from setting off their countries' missle systems. Once again, our heroes prove that "deep inside every dog is a Road Rover."
WHAT WE LEARNED TODAY:
-The idea that "deep inside every dog is a Road Rover" was reinforced
- That Bill Clinton has trouble operating without Hillary...well, maybe we knew that one
- That Captain Zachary Storm was not vaporized, it was merely special effects, and it cost a fortune
- That the Rovers are very loyal to their masters, especially Blitz, and go almost anywhere they go
- That the Rovers may rule the land and the skies, but outer space, well, that belongs to the Space Rovers
FUNNIEST LINE:
Bill Clinton- "Right, we've gotta do something. Hillary!....Oh, she's not here."
KRANKOR'S FAN RATING: 8.1 out of 10 (6th out of 13)
MY TAKE: This was a very good, cool episode. The idea of the Rovers saving the world as dogs was nothing short of brilliant. I liked how they introduced the Space Rovers and the jokes in this episode were funny too. You also thought the episode was over before it really was...good work! The end, with Brain saying "I will rule the world, yes!" was hilarious. My 2nd fav episode.
