"Hit The Air"- Februrary 22, 1997
WRITTEN BY: Tom Ruegger
HERO OF THE DAY: Hunter/Muzzle
WEAPON OF CHOICE: Alien spaceship
BASIC PLOTLINE (From Kids WB at AOL)
It's just another typical day for the Road Rovers as we get a glimpse into what they do from morning to night.  Besides freeing hostages, attending a peace treaty signing, and battling Parvo and the Groomer, the Rovers activities include:  Going to a fast-food restaurant; discussing what a hot dog really is; and getting interrogated by an alleged alien from outerspace.  Hunter even finds time to visit his mother, a Gold Retriever.
More Plotline- Shag keeps hogging the toilets in this episode, which gets  bascially everybody but Colleen ticked off...everybody thinks that the dog Hunter is trying to find is his girlfriend, which makes Colleen sad, Exile and Colleen encourage Hunter to go down and talk to her, he does, and later they learn that it was his mother, when they do Blitz picks on Colleen

WHAT WE LEARNED FROM THIS EPISODE
-It's pretty obvious that Colleen likes Hunter a whole lot
-Blitz has an obsession for peppermint milkshakes (Mmm Mmm!)
-Russian names are a kind of a game, there's a first and a last and a middle name....
-Hunter's mom is a golden retriever, and she's proud of her boy
-The Rovers do spend whole days at headquarters sometimes, and they love to frequent the bathrooms
-Blitz is pretty darn easy to fool.  Look over there!  No, look over there!
-Blitz and Colleen's history, as well as Shag's recipe for Kung-Pau Chicken, if you can understand dog.
-The Rovers can be disgusting at times, but they're all good dogs

FUNNIEST LINE
"The papa's name is Sonov, now here's the switch, the kid's middle name is Sonovovitch!"

KRANKOR'S FAN RATING- 9.4 out of 10 (1st out of 13)

MY TAKE: By far the best episode.  The show was good until this episode, this makes it great.  It shows the Rovers in an everyday environment, doing this best by revealing some of the Rovers deeper feelings, i.e. Colleen's love for Hunter, Hunter's quest to find his mom again.  And of course, the humor in this episode is second to none.  The Russian name song (which I've told to my friends and has gotten laughs every time) and other jokes in this show were hilarious.  It was a great end to a great season of Road Rover craziness.
